The Story
Blue collet clips are safety locks for push-fit fittings: they stop the collet from being pressed in accidentally, which prevents the tubing from pulling out under pressure or vibration. In short — they secure the tube, prevent leaks, and add peace of mind in water filter/RO setups.
They also help to keep the inlet and outlet push fit rings / collets in place during shipping.
On a working water filter they are also claimed to hold the tube into the push fit grip. But the tube sticks in firmly without them
